The accredited SUSCERT VCERT (Vegan & Vegetarian Certification) standard (ISO EN 17065) for the certification of vegetarian and vegan products is a certification process that supports 100% plant-based consumption and provides protective incentives.

Certification processes are carried out in accordance with ISO 17065 Accreditation standards. This ensures that the certificates issued are valid within the framework of relevant international standards and accreditation rules.
Vegan products do not contain any animal derivatives, while vegetarian products are permitted to contain milk, egg, and honey-based ingredients, but these ingredients must be organic or, alternatively, come from farms that respect the welfare of the animals and feed them non-GMO.
Vegan certified products under SUSCERT (VCERT) certification guarantee the following:
Compliance with the product and process requirements of the standard;
Authentic and verified labels that reassure consumers who choose a vegetarian or vegan diet; The absence of ingredients and/or animal derivatives in products that do not require labeling (e.g., processing aids and production aids).
CERTIFICATION PROCESS
1- Preliminary Assessment.
The preliminary assessment of products and the production process includes, among other things, an assessment of the composition of the products for which certification is sought and the compliance of all components, including additives and technological aids, with the technical data sheets. The applicant company must disclose all operating procedures and the separation and cleaning measures implemented to prevent any contact with and contamination from animal-derived ingredients.
2- On-site Inspection Verification.
The on-site inspection aims to verify that the products actually comply with the vegan requirements of the specification; that production processes and internal procedures that could compromise the product's compliance with the requirements defined in the standard are properly organized and managed; and that they comply with relevant environmental and social criteria.
3- Issuance of the Certificate of Conformity.
The Certificate of Conformity is issued based on the information and data collected during the assessment and verification process. The certificate includes a list of certified products and their vegan or biodiverse vegan classifications.
4-Surveillance: Periodic inspections and analyses.
Annual monitoring through periodic inspections and analyses aims to confirm that compliance requirements are met.
All certification and inspection requirements, timeframes, and conformity assessment procedures are planned and priced in accordance with the applicant's product count, production site size, and personnel.
