TAPA Trucking Security Requirements (TSR) Certification

TAPA EMEA’s Trucking Security Requirements (TSR) have been developed ‘by the industry, for the industry’ and are reviewed every three years in consultation with members to ensure they are as effective as possible and address new or emerging supply chain risks or crime trends. The TSR Standard protects products transported by road and aims to ensure the safety of drivers, vehicles, and cargoes by preventing criminal attacks.

  • Hard-sided trucks and trailers
  • Rigid vans or fixed body trucks
  • Sea container road transportations
  • Soft-sided trucks and trailers
  • Minimum acceptable security standards
  • Methods to be used to maintain these standards
  • Processes and specifications for service providers to follow to attain TAPA EMEA TSR certification for their trucking operations.
  • Locking Systems Guidance (LSG) to assist in the identification of suitable locking systems which meet TAPA EMEA’s TSR requirements.
  • Telematics Systems Guidance (TSG) to support the Trucking Security Requirements (TSR) certification process.

Successful implementation of the TSR Standard is dependent upon service providers – including any subcontractors used, TAPA EMEA-approved Independent Audit bodies, and buyers of trucking services – working together to accurately interpret, adopt and audit against these requirements.
